For the past few weeks, our topic in class has been about education and different topics that branch off from it like if reading is important for kids and if schools should implement a creativity class within their school systems. A topic that I really enjoyed was talking about is reading an important thing for students because both sides of the argument have very strong points. Some people say that students should be forced to read in school because all books no matter what the topic of it is all contain some sort of lesson that can teach the student good things but others w=may say, if you are forcing a kid to read, they won't be open to learning what is being aught and is simply staring at the context in front of them without picking up the given lessons. I personally feel that teachers forcing kids to read to gain a lesson isn't effective because if they aren't drawn into what's being taught then they won't look and learn what is being taught and it just skimming the pages to pass time. Another topic that we looked into was if there should be creativity classes within school systems. We discussed this through writing our argumentative essays and my stance on the topic was that there should be these types of classes because it allows them to open their minds and this in different way compared to learning the same materials and content repeatedly through years of schooling.
